1984) During the past last days I have been observing my first suspected subject, Winston. Winston lives in an apartment with the Parson’s next door to him. Winston has been acting strange the last few days, I cannot see him on the monitor at times yet can hear him. During random times he will walk out of view and all that is heard is the sound of pencil to paper. Winston also has become very strange after his encounter with O’ Brian. No words were said between the two yet something was sparked between the two, you could see Winston’s facially expression. I will keep you up to date with anymore information required Big Brother, that’s all.

Subject: Guy Montag
Subject has been under surveillance for several weeks. Report 2 begins now. Subject was followed from his place of work, the firehouse, to his street corner. At the street corner, he very strangely stopped. This occurred the previous day but he kept going. This time he walked with a girl who had been wandering aimlessly. They talked. The informer questions what the conversation consisted of and speculates it is suspicious. That night, Subject calls panicked about routine-needed blood change for his wife. He appeared concerned beyond normal. At work, Subject becomes fearful of the Mechanical Hound and concocts a conspiracy theory about why the dog “dislikes him.” The informer thinks Subject is becoming antsy and more suspicious behavior is sure to surface. Continued surveillance. End Report 2.

For the past couple of days I have been following around a new suspect; Winston. Winston is 39, works at the Ministry of Truth, and lives next door to the Parsons. He has been acting very suspiciously; at times he turns his back towards the cameras or disappears completely. The only sound the monitors pick up is of him writing something furiously. Today, during Two Minutes of Hate he was late to join into the bashing of Goldstein. When it was all over he caught O'Brien's eye and what passed between them i cannot say, but I will watch them both very carefully.

Winston Smith
Smiths behavior is rather unsettling. At home and work Smith is barely visible in front of the telescreens and has appeared as though he is writing, however what he is possibly writing cannot be determined. Aside from absences from the telescreens Smith while has also shown a lack of enthusiasm during mandatory gatherings such as the Two Minutes Hate. While no written or physical evidence can determine Smiths disloyalty to the party but it can be seen in his sudden behavioral changes. Smiths changes go back to as far as his first encounter with O'Brien. Nothing spoken. Only knowing glances but since then Smiths behavior is what it is now. Need more info to support claim of Smiths disloyalty to the Party. End.

Winston Smith

I have been observing Winston for a while now. I have found out that he has a diary. In this diary he has been writing. The strange thing is that he avoids the screen. He keeps his back to it. He can also not be seen at times. I think that when he writes in the diary. I also saw that during the Two Minute Hate O’ Brien give a strange look at Winston. I have found out that he works at the Ministry of Truth. He is also not in the best of shape. Winston’s behavior also seems odd. I still have to find out about him and O’Brien. I am still gathering more information. This is what I have found so far.

Guy Montag is a fireman who seems to be very committed to his job. A couple of nights ago he was seen walking a girl home who we have not seen him with before. They separated and entered their homes. Later on that night we found a panic call to the “ambulance” and it is recorded that his wife received some sort of procedure. There are no specifics on what the problem was. Also, at work Montag seems to be an outcast because he was found in his bunk while the rest of the firemen were gambling. We are not sure if he is going through a period of stress or not.

In 1984, Winston has been acting really weird lately. I could see him on the telescreen doing his normal activities, but there is a time; every night that he just disappears. Nobody knows where he goes or what's he doing. I can hear a few noises, but can't seem to figure out what he's doing. I still have no updated information of what is going on between him and O'Brien, but they have not spoken and I am very suspicious about it. That's all I have for now, I will keep all of you informed of what happens next.

It seems that he loves to write, especially very fast. He writes in his diary often, and it seems that he tries to avoid the cameras when he was writing in his diary. His actions are a little weird at times because he will just disappear all of a sudden off the telescreens. Also he did not seem very enthusiastic during the Two Minutes because he came late to it. Also I noticed that O’Brien gave Winston a strange looking during the Two Minutes Hate. I am not sure yet what is going between them but I will let you know as soon as I find out.

Winston Smith
Over the past couple of days I have been observing Winston. His behavior is strange at times. I know that he purchased a diary illegally at a store but I do not know what he intends to do with it. Winston seems to be in poor health due to his ulcer near his ankle as well as his lung problems being evident through the telescreen. The strange thing is that Winston seems to disappear at times and I do not know whether he simply left his home or if he has a found a way to not be seen by the telescreen. Another weird thing occurred during the Two Minutes Hate when Winston seemed to exchange a peculiar glace with O’Brien. His behavior is suspicious, but more surveillance is needed to determine if he is opposing The Party.

Lately he has been acting very strange and at times will dissapear from camera. Sometimes he will not make a sound, but by listening carefully you can pick up him writing vigorously on paper, most likely in his diary. Winston and O'Brian seem to be having some sort of dispute with one another. Time will only tell if the stern glances exchanged will become something concerning.
As my job, I will keep you informed with any new sightings of raw behavior. Over&out.

Subject: Winston Smith.
After several days of careful observation, I have noticed a number of disturbing actions taken by Mr. Smith. We are aware that he has purchased a diary, as well as a obsolete fountain pen, but it is impossible to identify exactly what he is writing without taking invasive measures. We cannot even be sure that he is writing at all; recent telescreen transmissions have shown no trace of him in his apartment. Of perhaps even greater concern was his participation in the Two Minutes Hate, which seemed minimal at best; at some points, his hatred appeared to be directed toward targets other than Goldstein - perhaps coworkers. It is our opinion that such erratic behavior ought to warrant immediate attention.

I have suspected the he has been thinking bad thoughts about big brother.I have also suspected that he has a secret journal that he has been writing in. I've been watching him and observing his Behavior. He seems like he is very upset with Big Brother so I'm going to watch him on the telescreen and try and figure out what his problem his.

Although he can not be seen at these times, he can still be heard. Sounds of him writing on paper have been noted, although I do not know what exactly it is that he is writing. Winston has also been acting suspiciously while at the Ministry of Truth. The expressions on his face have been rather strange, especially when he is looking at O’Brien. I will follow up with more information as it becomes available to me.

Guy Montag
According to my instructions, I have been observing Montag for the past couple of days. Although he’s very promising in his job as a fireman, he has been behaving very suspiciously lately. First, while walking home, he was seen talking to a girl who presented strange ideas to him, and he actually appeared to be considering them. Then the other day at the firehouse, the Mechanical Hound behaved strangely when in presence of Montag, and Montag seemed fearful. One of his coworkers presented the idea that Montag may have a guilty conscience. We’ll keep you posted as to whether this is the case or not.

I have been keeping an eye on Winston Smith for quite a while now and he has been acting very awkward/strange. He has been hiding from the telescreens, which makes me concerned about what he is exactly trying to hide; is it illegal? Also, he was acting very weird during the exercise session for 30-40 year olds the other day. He seemed like he was not giving it his all like he usually does, but it was like he had something on his mind. I have seen Winston around with a leather diary/journal it seems to me, but I really am not sure what exactly he is doing with this. I noticed that for some reason he became very uncomfortable when Mrs. Parsons's kids were calling him a traitor. I don't know why he would be uncomfortable, unless he really was a traitor, but I will need to look more into that before I do anything. Lastly, I saw the look Winston gave O’Brian and the look O’Brian gave Winston. I am very interested in learning what went on in that “looking/staring” situation there, but I’m sure it will be quite interesting when I found out!

Subject: Winston
Over the past few days, Montag has been going about his daily behavior. During the day, he went to his work being a fireman and then returned home late in the night, around 1 am. Suddenly, he stopped short and froze. He continued to walk and ran into his new neighbor, Clarisse, with whom he talked to for a little while. Afterwards he retuned home where he found his wife passed out / possibly dead. He then called an ambulance. Then next morning he talked to his wife, but at first was hesitant to tell her about what happened because she had inflicted the damage to her self. More to follow.

Guy Montag is one of the strangest people I have had to observe. I saw him speaking to a girl on his way back to his home after a days work as a fireman. He then went to his home. The next day I followed him to the firehouse and the Mechanical Hound seemed to threaten him and he appeared to be scared of it. He has become antisocial with the men at his work since speaking with the girl. I will continue reporting on his strange behavior until there is a clearer understanding of his actions.

Over the past few days I have been a witness to Winston's everyday life. Winston is a 39 year old male. He works at the Ministry of Truth. He lives in Victory Mansion, and neighbors with the Parsons. Winston has been going out of sight on the telescreen quite often. He has purchased a Diary, and a fountain pen. There are times when Winston is very quiet. Other times one could hear him writing intensely. I will keep watching this man, and inform you of any updates.

I have been observing Winston over the past few days. He seems to be a very strange man. He is 39 and works for the Ministry of Truth. I was suspicious when he seemed to have connected with O'Brien during the two minutes hate. I think the two of them may be up to something. Also, Winston has been escaping from the telescreen's view going into a corner of his apartment. I suspect he is doing something illegal and his apartment should be searched. That's what I have Big Brother.

During the past few days i have been observing Winston Smith. Winston is 39 and lives in an apartment building next to the Parsons. Winston has been acting very strange lately and i want to get down to the bottom of it. For instance, sometimes he would disappear from the telescreen for periods of time. The only thing i could hear when he disappers is the sound of pencil and paper. Why would he be writing something where the telescreen can't see him? Is he writing something that he doesn't want us to know about. Finally, i am very curious about the look Winston gave to O'brien. He seems like he was trying to catch the eye of O'brien for something important. So, i am going to have to watch them very carefully over the next few days.

Winston Smith

For the past few days I have been watching Winston Smith. He has been acting rather strange lately. He is in his flat doing his usual everyday stuff, but he seems to disappear for a while at night. I can hear something going on but I don't see anything. I also found out that he has been keeping a journal. Maybe that is what he is doing at night. I saw him and O'Brien. They didn't talk to each other but something happened. I am not sure what but it could be bad. Winston has been acting very strange since that moment. I will find out what is happening before Winston does something he shouldn't do.

1984: My assignment was to keep an eye on Winston Smith. My observation of Winston is the things he does are very sketchy. It seems that he is always avoiding the tellescreen. And when away from view, he looks for something, while he is carrying around a writing utensil. When he leaves you can hear rustling and movements that he makes. Then he comes back in sight with nothing in his hands. Once I saw him and this man O' Brien exchange a look. It seems like they were communicating through eye contact. We should keep an eye on him, he seems to be up to something.

1985,
Winston Smith has been acting very strangely the past few days. First, I noticed that he had bought a diary illegaly from a near by shop. He has also been limping a lot because of the ulcer on his right ankle. When Winston is inside his house, I notice that he disappears from the telescreen for about seven minutes at a time. I hear the pen on a piece of paper and I am getting suspicious that he is writing in his journal. He also had a little stare down with a guy named O'Brien, and it wasn't just an ordinary stare down. It looked as if there was a message sent between them. I will keep an eye out in the next few days, and I will report to you if I notice anything else.

I have been observing Winston carefully, and I am almost certain that he is up to some sort of trouble. I have noticed that he has been writing in some sort of book, a diary perhaps. I am not able to see what he has written, but I get the feeling that it cannot be anything good. I have also noticed that he has had some interactions with a man called O'Brien. They have been exchanging strange looks between each other, which gives me the impression that they could be plotting something. It is also odd the way that Winston has been acting and reacting to things. He makes sort of skeptical faces and always seems so very deep in thought. He must have a lot going on in his mind, which could mean trouble. His thoughts and ideas could quite possibly be corrupt. I cannot say for sure, but all of this makes me feel a bit uneasy.

I have been observing this man for some time now. As I observed yesterday, he was walking alone, and then he just stopped. This also happened yesterday, but when he stopped, he kept on walking instead. Out of nowhere, a girl appeared, and the two talked for a long time. After, she began to wander aimlessly, watching everything, and everybody. After looking at my files, I identified the girl as 17 year old Clarisse McClellan. Her file says she is antisocial, and does not fit in anywhere. More time is needed to watch Montag to identify what he is planning on doing.

Report on Guy Montag:
Reporting for many weeks. Guy walked from his job to his street, and then he was seen with a girl. The girl looked very young, but she seemed strange. They then walked down the street together. They were talking. Then the both looked at the moon. Then Guy walked home. Soon after when Guy was home he found his wife lying on the bed. He panicked and called the hospital. He seemed very fearful for his wife. Then the next day he went to work. He met with the girl again and began talking. Then the girl left. Guy went off to work; there he was afraid of the mechanical hound. He talked to the captain about the dog but they think it is not true. Still reporting…

For the past few days I have been following a suspected felon who goes by the name of Guy Montag. Suspicious bahavoir from the mark has triggered my assignment. I have observed him having strange conversations with an unidentified young woman who is new to the neighborhood. Also, late one night a team of men came to preform a blood transfer, and left about an hour later. Montag seems startled and suspicious about a dog that is at his workplace. I will report more soon.

For the last few days I have been assigned to observe a particular individual who refers to himself as, Winston Smith. He is currently working for the ministry of truth, along with a man who I highly reviere by the name of O'brien. Since O'brien is trusted by Winston, we have decided to convene on several occasions in order to exchange information. My observations thus far have proven that he is a rather illusive character, and can not always be seen in the telescreen. Specifically I have noticed that he partakes in some sort of ritual every day that involves writing, and, from I've seen, is quite passionate about it. It almost seems as though he is driven by a hate for something, weather it is for the brotherhood, I don't know. I personaly feel that he might be disloyal to the party. However, further investigations need to be carried out in order to know for certain.
